The anticipation of that new arrival is often overwhelming. You have invested much time and money into getting your mare bred and want to ensure that the birth of your foal goes without complications.
Although most mares give birth without any problems, in some cases having an attended delivery may mean the difference between life and death.
One of the most difficult things is to be able to monitor your mare 24/7. At our new facility we will be able to offer that convenience. With large ( 12 ft x 24 ft ) foaling stalls and 24 hour video surveillance, you can rest assured that your mare will be monitored closely as the time arrives.
In addition to video surveillance, we also offer our clients the use of the Foalert System. The foalert has been used successfully by breeders, universities and veterinarians for over 20 years.
Both the mare and foal will be carefully monitored after birth for any complications. All foals will have an IgG test within the first 12 hours. Plasma will be available if needed.
Foaling stalls are limited. If you would like us to assist with your foaling needs please make arrangements well in advance of the mare’s foaling date.
The following forms are required before the mare arrives at the clinic. They can be faxed or e-mailed.
